Dr. Lawendy is a 1997 graduate of the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He comes from a family of four veterinarians, including his patriarch, and has been in private practice for over 30 years. He holds licenses in several States, including Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania and Illinois and has been a long-time member of the CVMA, AVMA and FCVMA. Dr. Lawendy has extensive experience in veterinary surgery and offers a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgical services for dogs and cats. He also holds educational credentials in the advanced management and treatment of osteoarthritis.
His drive to continual pursuit of new and unique surgical and medical approaches to pet care has earned him the role of Chief Medical Director for ValuePetVet since 2017 and has been an asset to the practice and its continued growth. Dr. Lawendy is the father of three children, enjoys recreational soccer and boxing, motorcycle rides and has a strong affinity for music, being an avid guitarist himself. He has been a long term member of the Connecticut community, growing up in Westport and has lived in Easton, CT for over 20 years.
He is the proud owner of two French Bulldogs (Chloe and Bruna), two cats (Bijou and Nylo) and a horse named Lady Godiva.
