ValuePetVet was started because we strongly believe that EVERYONE should have the ability to love and properly care for a loved pet!
The landscape of the veterinary profession has changed dramatically over the past ten years, especially in the aftermath of the pandemic. Driven by escalating costs, increased demand for veterinary staffing and an unparalleled rise in private equity acquisition, the profession has witnessed a negative transformation in pet ownership philosophy over the last decade. Essentially, owning a pet has become a “luxury” that not everyone can enjoy and afford.
Delivering more affordable options for pet owners
Affordability, convenience and quality are the foundational elements of our practices. Our spay/neuter/wellness initiative and community outreach programs that are available to both 501c organizations and the general pet-owning community focus on delivering more affordable options for dog and cat lovers in the communities we serve. We are privately owned and managed by a veterinary board of directors, staffed by highly trained and qualified veterinarians and professionals and focus whole-heartedly on delivering more affordable preventative care for dogs and cats. In a climate of escalating pet care cost, ValuePetVet strives to continually affiliate with industry organizations as well as utilize technologies and various resources to help mitigate the rising cost of pet ownership! And while we understand that treating ill pets can be expensive, ValuePetVet tries to do its part to assist the pet owning community through fundraising efforts, our own 501c organization (The Nancy Animal Welfare Fund) and through State subsidized spay/neuter/wellness programs to give additional help to those truly needing assistance.
ValuePetVet was established in 2017. Since then, we have expanded to two locations in Connecticut and now two locations in Chicago (opening in 2025) and with plans for clinics in New York and New Jersey. We will continue our efforts in establishing affiliations with like-minded veterinarians throughout the country that share our philosophy on pet care and invite doctors who are interested in joining our teams to reach out to us.
